Privacy Policy

The developer of Mantle (“we,” “us”) provides this Privacy Policy to explain what information is involved when you use Mantle on iPhone and Apple Watch.

1. Summary

• No Mantle account and no Mantle server.
• Training data lives on your devices.
• Optional sync uses your Apple iCloud (private CloudKit database).
• Optional Apple Health and Photos access are for features you turn on.
• Purchases go through Apple StoreKit.
• We do not sell data, show ads, or track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

2. Information on your device

Mantle stores workout logs, dig-site progress, settings, optional companion name, relics, and related app state in on-device storage so the app works offline.

If you create a custom dig site (“claim”), the text you type (name, exercise notes, and similar) stays in that store and, if sync is on, in your private iCloud database.

3. Apple services you may use

These are Apple platforms. Apple’s own terms and privacy policy also apply to iCloud, Health, Photos, notifications, and App Store purchases.

• iCloud / CloudKit (optional): When sync is enabled, Mantle syncs your training records through your Apple ID’s private CloudKit database so your devices can stay in step. We do not operate a separate cloud backend for that content.
• Apple Health / HealthKit (optional): With permission, Mantle can save completed bodyweight sessions as traditional strength-training workouts and related active energy. On Apple Watch, Mantle may also read heart rate and active energy during a session you start there, to show live feedback and save the workout. Mantle does not sell Health data.
• Photos (optional, add-only): If you save a watch wallpaper from Mantle, the image is written to your photo library with add-only permission. Mantle does not need full photo library read access for that feature.
• Notifications (optional): Local reminders (for example training day or return-after-quiet reminders) are scheduled on your device after you allow notifications.
• App Store / StoreKit: Subscription and Lifetime Pass purchases, restores, and entitlements are handled by Apple. We do not receive your full payment card details.
• WatchConnectivity: The iPhone and Apple Watch apps exchange session plans and results between your paired devices.

4. What we do not collect

• No sign-in with email, Google, or social networks.
• No advertising SDKs and no App Tracking Transparency tracking for ads.
• No third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDKs.
• We do not track you for advertising, and we do not operate a separate analytics product on top of Mantle.

5. How information is used

On-device and (if enabled) iCloud-synced data is used only to run Mantle: prescribe sessions, show progress, sync across your devices, optional Health logging, optional wallpaper save, and purchase unlock state.

6. Sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We do not share training content with data brokers or advertisers. Data may leave your device only through Apple services you enable (iCloud, Health, Photos, App Store) or if you export or screenshot it yourself.

We may disclose information if required by law.

7. Retention and deletion

• Deleting Mantle removes its on-device store on that device.
• iCloud copies remain under your Apple ID until you delete them via Mantle (where offered), iCloud settings, or by managing CloudKit/iCloud data with Apple.
• Health workouts remain in Apple Health until you delete them in the Health app or revoke access and clean up entries there.
• Purchase history remains with Apple.

8. Children’s privacy

Mantle is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. International users

Processing happens on your devices and, when you enable iCloud, in Apple’s infrastructure for your Apple ID region. If you are in the EU/EEA, UK, California, or another region with privacy rights, you can exercise access or deletion primarily by using the controls above (device, Health, iCloud, App Store) and by contacting us as below.

10. California “Do Not Sell”

We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are commonly used under California law.

11. Changes

We may update this policy when Mantle’s practices change. The “Last updated” date at the top will change. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
